Your new role

• As a Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in managing legal and compliance matters, supporting business operations, and safeguarding the company’s interests. You will provide bilingual legal counsel, draft and review contracts, and collaborate on high-impact projects;

• Draft, review, and negotiate bilingual contracts, regularly updating templates; assess and manage other legal documents, policies, and SOPs.

• Conduct legal research and provide daily counsel to internal stakeholders.

• Support business development projects and corporate restructuring initiatives.

• Assist in managing litigation, arbitration, claims, and government investigations to protect the company’s rights.

• Provide training to enhance legal and compliance awareness across the organisation.

• Liaise with external counsel and manage legal vendors as needed.

• Conduct Business Partner Assessments for local operations based on group methodologies.

• Collaborate with global legal/compliance teams on group-level matters.

• Execute other tasks or projects assigned by the General Counsel.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law from a reputable institution; PRC Bar qualification is mandatory.

• At least 6 years of relevant legal experience, ideally within the FMCG industry or from a top-tier law firm serving corporate clients.

• Strong team collaboration and communication skills; proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with high professional ethics and cultural sensitivity.

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
