Purpose of the Role
The team is product and client agnostic which allows them to focus on supporting the most important clients for GCIB China. Different from RMs, solutions team will not own client relationships but solution focused coverage on optimizing complex solutions and connectivity among each division both onshore and offshore. Leveraging solutions team's value, the company is able to provide more tailor-made structured financing solutions, comprehensive hedging/flow solutions, and client strategy-linked advisory to our strategic clients.
Solutions team will be closely involved in the entire deal cycle from client pitching, transaction structuring and execution, to ongoing solutioning optimization and internal training.
The job’s main purposes are to support the Team Leader in executing the team’s strategy and to be responsible in the development of client pitching materials, development of solutions including financial modeling and working closely with various stakeholders including ICD/SFCOs.
Primary Responsibilities
1.Strategic
• Contribute in developing and implementing the solution team strategy, support on discussion with stakeholders
• Support to identify and manage target clients through implementation of a deep account planning process
2.Financial
• Achieve team revenue target (on shadow basis)
• Optimize balance sheet and achieve target ROE in collaboration with coverage team Customer
• Support the Team Leader in identifying and managing client needs, assist with ad-hoc client requests and liaise directly with clients
• Positioning as the Structured Financing specialist, conduct financial modeling, credit analysis or other technical analysis
• Support in marketing materials preparation and internal management presentations, etc
3.People
• Connect beyond your team and leverage our global strength as One Bank
• Support to provide periodic training and case sharing to coverage team, enhance solutioning capability of coverage team
Qualification & Experience
Skills & Knowledge :
•Strong financial analysis/modelling technical capabilities and due diligence analysis skills;
•Comprehensive and concise credit memoranda writing capability, as well as the construction of content-focused pitch books;
•An understanding of risk and capital approval processes and the ability to manage to tight timelines;
•Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments;
•Fluent Chinese and English language skills;
•Highly driven and responsible, with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests;
•Highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
